Målmandscamp i uge 42

3 dage i uge 42 – fra onsdag til fredag – har OIK inviteret en lettisk målmandstræner til Odense. Maris Rozenieks er navnet på vores gæste-instruktør. Her får han lov til at introducere sig selv:

“My name is Maris Rozenieks. I am a goalie coach with about 20 years experience. Now I am 40 years old, I started my coaching in 2005, when I was a coach assistant and goalie coach at junior hockey school Pardaugava, Riga Latvia.

I established my own goalie school "Skabarga" in 2010. And the school successfully works till now. Our team organizes up to 5 goalie camps every year, where young goalies from Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and other European countries, could improve and learn new skills. We also organizes goalie practice every Saturday morning. Since 2013 I have worked as a goalie coach at Hockey school Prizma. I also work in other hockey camps as a coach and am always ready to share my experience with other coaches. I improve my coaching skills every year at different courses, offered by our Latvian Hockey Federation. I have improved my coaching at the East Coast goaltender convention in Canada and Network Goaltending coaching symposium in the United States, where coaches from NHL share their experience.

OIK håber på at se en masse af vores egne målmænd samt målmænd udefra til nogle dage med fokus på målmandsspillet. Der vil både være is og fys for målmændene. Desuden vil der være et varmt måltid hver dag mellem ispassene. Der vil være skytter på isen som passer til målmændene.
