GAME REPORT - MOTION A VS KSF BLÅ

The second face-off of the season with KSF Blues. The last upset was still on their minds. We knew we were in for a gritty match, so we came prepared with some extra firepower. The game plan? Light up the lamp early; word on the ice was their goalie had a short fuse. Plus, keep a close tab on our go-to guy, the elusive #93, the dangler.

First Period

Both teams exchanged a few shots; KSF likes to make some circles in our zone, led by #93.

Falcons goal: Mikkel picks off a pass in their zone, dances around their defensemen and goaltender, lighting the lamp. 1:0

Rustam the enforcer checks KSF's player, even catching a glove check from the goalie as he passes too close to the crease.

Falcons goal: Mikkel gets a loose pass in the centre, pulls off some slick moves through their defence, and shelves the biscuit on the glove side. 2:0

Elliot makes a nice glove save after a KSF player tries to surprise him at the post.

After the first period, SOG were 3 to 5 in favour of the hosts.

Second Period

#2 gets a kneeing penalty against Bryn, sparking some discontent on the KSF side.

Elliot shut down #93 on a breakaway, and we hear a loud "F*ck yeah" from someone in the rink.

Another spectacular pad save by Elliot.

Falcons goal: Martin robs a defenseman on our blue line and buries it on a breakaway. 3:0

KSF gets on the board with a goal from #86, left unattended in the low slot. And it`s 3:1.

Mikkel goes on a rush; the puck hits the crossbar and post but does not stay in the net.

Big guy #86 was left alone on our blue line and goes 1on1 to Elliot but misses his two chances to score.

Plenty of chances for KSF in the second, but as always, Elliot was "standing on his head."

Third Period

After a faceoff, Bryn, with an almighty flex shot on net, almost shatters an opponent's leg.

Our buddy #93 gets double-tripped by Martin and Bryn, and KSF gets their first power play chance. Martin graciously goes to the sin bin. Our penalty kill squads deny any hopes of a goal.

Falcons goal: Esben with an amazing cross-ice pass from the left to Martin at the far post, and he gets his hat trick. Hats are not flying, but the goal puts the final nail in KSF's coffin. 4:1

In the remaining two minutes, we gave them no chances. KSF has an empty net, and Falcons secure the win for the second time this season against KSF.

That puts us at a perfect 4 out of 4 season wins. Next up, we lace 'em up against Rødovre.
